Oliver Harrison, DPhil. Plenary Speaker. Dr. Oliver Harrison is an Assistant Member at the Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason, and an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of Washington Department of Immunology. Work in his laboratory investigates how the immune system governs host-microbe interactions in health and disease. His team's research focus is on the role of commensal microbes (our resident bacteria, fungi and viruses) in the development, education and function of the host immune system, and in turn, how immune responses to these microbes promote tissue homeostasis and repair.
