Diagram describing saprobic fungi associated with two native Chinese agarwood-producing tree species (Aquilaria sinensis and A. yunnanensis) in Guangdong and Yunnan provinces, China. Based on morphological characteristics, multigene phylogenetic analyses, and pairwise homoplasy index (PHI) test, 10 collections are introduced as one new genus – Aquilariomyces, nine new species – Aquilariomyces aquilariae, Corynespora aquilariae, Melomastia maomingensis, Nigrograna aquilariae, Parathyridariella aquilariae, Peroneutypa maomingensis, Phaeoseptum aquilariae, Pseudothyridariella aquilariae, and Triangularia aquilariae, and one known species – Camarographium clematidis, belonging to different families of Ascomycota, namely, Corynesporascaceae, Diatrypaceae, Didymosphaeriaceae, Nigrogranaceae, Phaeoseptaceae, Pleurotremataceae, Podosporaceae, and Thyridariaceae.
