''On 2nd Sept., a 4 or 5 yrs old juvenile sea lion (Otaria flavescens) w/ nervous symptoms was reported at Cerro Beach in Dept of . DINARA & DGSG technicians attended area. Nasal & anal cavity swabs were taken & sent to official labo. and control of backyard poultry farms and commercial farms will begin in the area. Official laboratory reported today that RTqPCR test resulted positive. Animal died on spot & sanitary burial & disinfection of area was carried out.''
