Julie<p>The quilting itself was also interesting. Lots of professional long-arm type quilting or lots of straight line quilting. That was noticeable because straight line quilting has been out of favour for a while, maybe because it is something we mere plebs can do. <a href="https://aus.social/tags/quilting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>quilting</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/aqc" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>aqc</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/australasianquiltconvention" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>australasianquiltconvention</span></a></p>
Julie<p>I went to AQC this week, yesterday and today. Just loving being in Melbourne, by the way. Staying in a fantastic little hotel apartment. I might never want to go home. </p><p>I was a bit disappointed with the quilts. They were beautiful, no argument, but so many different types of appliqué which really seems to be the in thing. Certainly nothing like I do. Very little traditional patchwork either, lots of picture quilts. I didn't really see anything that made me want to come home and try that. <a href="https://aus.social/tags/quilting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>quilting</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/AQC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AQC</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/australasianquiltconvention" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>australasianquiltconvention</span></a></p>
