Why don't we make your kitty litter out of soybeans?

Specifically the hulls of soybeans. And of course that's the plan.

As a way to make use of what is otherwise agricultural waste, USDA researchers have created a new cat litter formulation that reduces odor, microbial growth, and dust production.

And perhaps it can inhibit Toxoplasma infections, but we still need more testing for that.
