@STCmicrobeblog How many "species" of virus and how many total viral particles in one inhalation in a crowded elevator?

@bks I assume that surveys of conc. of SARS-CoV-2 particles in crowded rooms as e.g. elevators exist, but whether they also monitored the complete viral load I don't know. from such numbers, one can calculate the # of virus particles an average person inhales "per breath", sure, but I'm not aware of such calculations. I would have to do a search of the literature.

@STCmicrobeblog It was intended rhetorically. I can go to the library, too. I have trouble even comprehending the numbers associated with viruses. 10^9 per gram of feces?

bionumbers.hms.harvard.eduEstimated number of viral particles in feces - Human Homo sapiens - BNID 110707

@bks sorry, I tend to take questions literally. and I have much the same problem with handling large numbers (>100) in a meaningful way.
